Agdia, Inc.
Located in Elkhart, Indiana, Agdia, Inc. has been the leading provider of plant pathogen diagnostics since 1981. Today, Agdia offers the most comprehensive and trusted portfolio of plant pathogen and GMO testing solutions around the world.
From a single test almost 20 years ago to what is now more than 50 types in the product line, Agdia has had a remarkable impact on the agricultural community.
Here’s the good news: With Hosta Virus X being a serious problem for hosta growers everywhere, the gardening community is fortunate that Agdia manufactures a simple and affordable test kit for this specific virus. The test strip is known as an ImmunoStrip® for Hosta Virus X (HVX).
In this workshop titled “Testing Hostas for Hosta Virus X with the Agdia ImmunoStrip”, Plant Pathologist Robert Emmitt will include background information on HVX, symptoms of infection, dissemination of HVX, and an introduction to the ImmunoStrip, with step-by-step instruction on how to use it.
